PhD Students

Dr. Kürkçü is actively seeking self-motivated and exceptional Ph.D. students interested in the field of Soft Robotics. If you are passionate about advancing this exciting area of research, we encourage you to apply.

Interested candidates should send an email to Dr. Kürkçü with the following materials:

• Curriculum Vitae (CV): Include a list of relevant undergraduate and graduate courses related to systems, control, robotics, and mathematics, along with your grades.
• Statement of Experience and Future Plans: Provide a concise paragraph outlining your theoretical and/or experimental experience, as well as your future goals related to soft robotics.
• References: Include the contact information (name, affiliation, and email) of at least two references.

Qualifications:

• Having an MSc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related fields is required.
• Strong programming experience in Python, Matlab, and C/C++ is required.
• Knowledge of control systems design and mechatronic systems is essential (3D printing experience is a plus).
• Experience with learning-based modeling and control is preferred.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills are required.
