Open Positions

I currently have two openings in my research group at Santa Clara University:

• 1 PhD student position in soft robotics and/or multi-agent systems
• 1 postdoctoral researcher position in soft robotics and/or multi-agent systems

The specific research direction will depend on the candidate's background and interests. Projects may involve topics at the intersection of control theory, learning-based methods, robotics, nonlinear systems, and data-driven modeling.

Who should apply?

I am looking for strong and motivated candidates with interests relevant to the open positions. Backgrounds in areas such as control, robotics, dynamical systems, optimization, or related fields are particularly welcome.

I am also happy to hear from candidates who have their own funding (e.g., scholarships, fellowships, or institutional support) or plan to apply for such support and would like to work with me in one of the following areas:

• Control theory (formal methods and learning-based approaches)
• Soft robotics
• Multi-agent systems

This includes:

• Visitors (visiting PhD/master's students or researchers with external support)
• Prospective PhD students with scholarships, fellowships, or similar funding
• Postdoctoral researchers with external fellowships or institutional support
